From as early as I can remember, I’ve been captivated by the idea of travel—oh, the feeling that comes from discovering a new destination. As a young girl, I dreamed of visiting places around the world—Paris, Jamaica, Greece, the list goes on—but vacations were out of reach for my family. My mother worked hard to provide the essentials, and while we didn’t have the luxury of travel, I learned the value of gratitude, hard work, and dreaming big.
My very first vacation wasn’t just a vacation; it was freedom, renewal, and joy all in one. From then on, I made it my mission to create those same moments for others, starting with my own family. Each summer, I planned trips for my nieces and nephews so they could return to school with their own stories of adventure. One day, after hearing my young nephew sigh, “I need a vacation,” I realized something profound—everyone deserves and needs a break, no matter their age or circumstance.
